Commercial Animation
An idea does not have to be fully formed to begin. What matters is turning it into something worth seeing.
Late Studio is a Hong Kong animation team creating mascot animation, product CG, 2D animation and live-action compositing for brands and production partners.Whether you have a complete concept or just a starting point, we can develop it with you or bring an existing direction to life.
Our commercial animation work includes projects for MTR and Broadway Circuit.

Anamorphic 3D animation
The image is on the screen, yet it feels as though it is about to step out.
What fascinates us about anamorphic 3D is that it is not just about the image, but the person watching it. Where they stand, the angle they look up from, and even the way the screen turns all change what they see.
Before production, we imagine where the audience will stand, then design the perspective and animation for that particular screen. The aim is not just to show a character or product on the street, but to make it feel as though it has actually arrived there.

Keeping T Chai looking like T Chai
The position of his eyes and the curve of his mouth are part of what makes T Chai recognisable. When AI-generated images could not keep those details, we used 3D to bring him back to the character people know.

MTR “T Chai STORY” | AI-Generated Character Short
Our scope: storyboard, AI video generation, 3D production, editing and layout design
- 01
The brief
To coincide with the release of Toy Story 5, T Chai and the MTR mascots meet AI Tracy.
- 02
Where AI came in
For some shots, we used AI to create the station lighting and atmosphere.
- 03
Details worth protecting
AI could not reliably control the mascots’ facial proportions. T Chai is a brand asset, so his eyes and mouth needed to meet the brand guidelines.
- 04
3D takes over
We had planned a fallback before production: shots that drifted off-model were strengthened or rebuilt in 3D, with some completed entirely in 3D.
- 05
The result
The film was released in time for the premiere, with the T Chai audiences know still recognisable on screen.

Why Late Studio
Creative
A starting point is enough
Perhaps you have a product, a character, or simply want more people to know about it. We listen to what you want to achieve, then find the part worth bringing to the screen together.
Production
The method can change. The image has to feel right.
Some shots call for 3D, some for live-action compositing, and some for AI. We choose a method for the idea, not the other way around. If you already have a creative direction, we can work with agencies and production partners to bring it to life.
Collaboration
A good idea has to make it through every stage
A project is about more than the image: budget, timing and who needs to approve it all matter. We share work in progress for discussion, and talk through changes before finding a way forward together.
What shapes a film’s budget?
Standard
This selection shows which choices affect the budget; the actual fee is quoted for your project. Copy it and email kaicho@latestudio.hk to enquire.
A budget does not have to limit an idea. It helps us make choices.
Which shots matter most? Where is it worth spending more time? Once we know the budget and launch date, we can weigh those choices together and focus resources where they matter most.

AI visual workshop
Try it together and discover where AI can help
We visit your company and demonstrate with your brand assets. From ideas and prompts to generated visuals, we explore together what can help your day-to-day work.
Enquire about a workshopCommercial project FAQs
Can we work from photos or a physical product instead of 3D files?
Yes. We can model from photos or a physical character or product. Depending on complexity, this generally adds around one to five days.
How do you accommodate approval by management or brand headquarters?
At each stage, we provide images or preview clips that you can share directly, and allow time for approval. If headquarters is overseas, we can plan for an additional review cycle.
Who owns the final film and 3D assets?
Copyright in the final film and character designs made for the project belongs to the client. Project files and 3D assets, such as Blender files, models and rigs, are not included by default and can be quoted separately.
Are your AI tools commercially licensed? Is AI-generated content labelled?
The AI tools we use are licensed for commercial use, and we use generated content under each tool’s terms. Whether the final film is labelled as AI-generated depends on the client’s brand policy and platform rules; we will flag platform labelling requirements on delivery.
How are client assets used? Are they used to train AI models?
Client assets are used only for the project. They are not made public or used to train AI models.
