Late Studio was invited to create an IG Reel promotional video for a client exhibiting at "Fine Art Asia 2024". As the client loves Japanese 2D animation, the video blends CG animation with 2D animation. Working with Yabee Creative Limited, Late Studio focused on the CG animation, while the Yabee team focused on the 2D animation.

Production Process
Once the 3D model was finalised, the team moved on to rigging and animation. For the CG animation in the first half, the team first did camera tracking in Blender, then animated, and finally composited in Adobe After Effects. The 2D animation in the second half was mainly handled by Yabee Creative Limited, while the team took care of the phoenix oil lamp's animation and its 2D-style presentation.
Compositing the walking shot, mainly adjusting how well the phoenix oil lamp blends with the background.In the head-turning shot, the phoenix's colour tone and lighting were likewise adjusted to blend into the background.In the 2D animation, the team handled the phoenix oil lamp's animation and initial compositing.Yabee Creative Limited handled the overall visuals and final compositing adjustments.
