Bwing×百老匯 | 戲院禮儀片 - Late Studio | 香港動畫公司

我們很高興與Bwing合作，為百老匯院線製作全新的戲院禮儀片。A仔早在十年前，已經陪伴香港觀眾走進戲院。這次回歸，他不再獨自登場。更多新角色加入，組成全新的「A仔聯盟」。我們希望保留大家熟悉的感覺，同時為角色注入新的生命。從角色重製、場景設計到群像動畫，每個部分都重新整理。成品亦邀請古天樂參與配音，並由胡子彤獻唱主題曲。

Late Studio are happy to be invited to collaborate with Bwing to produce a cinema etiquette video for all Broadway theaters, starring Bwing’s character “Aboy” in a brand-new version. The video also features voice acting by Louis Koo and a song performed by Tony Wu.

角色篇讓A仔重新出發

New Journey of A Boy

A仔曾經長期出現在，10多年前百老匯的觀影提示片中。對不少香港觀眾來說，他是一個熟悉的角色。因此，這次重製不能完全推翻舊設計。我們希望保留原有的辨識度。觀眾再次看見A仔時，仍然會記得他。同時，角色的造型、比例、材質與配色，也要更接近今天的審美。
這個平衡並不容易。改得太少，角色會停留在十年前。改得太多，他又可能失去原本的味道。最後，我們選擇保留每個角色最重要的特徵，再重新整理外形與質感。希望舊觀眾仍然認得他們，新一代觀眾也會喜歡他們。

Ten years ago, Aboy became the character for Broadway’s cinema etiquette videos, always meeting audiences at theaters. This time, Bwing’s team approached Late Studio to create a brand-new etiquette animation, revamping old characters and designing new IP characters to greet Hong Kong people with a fresh look.

前期課題研究

Preliminary research process

重製百老匯電影禮儀片的第一步，那就是先重製角色的部分，現代人的著色審美、網路流行什麼，都是我們需要著重討論的一點。

The first step in remaking a Broadway’s cinema etiquette video is to remake the characters. Modern people’s aesthetic sense of color and what’s popular online are also important points we need to discuss.

然後是整條禮儀片的流程，這次比起10年的禮儀片更想呈現出舞台劇的感覺，則是同一個場景的畫面有幾個角色各自做事，而不是逐一出場，同時需要呈現大家都有關聯的感覺。

Then comes the flow of the etiquette video. This time, compared to the etiquette video of 2015, we wanted to present a stage play feel, which is to have several characters doing something in the same scene, rather than appearing one by one, while also showing a sense that everyone is connected.

環境塑造

Environmental shaping

完成重製角色的部分後，我們便開始對環境的製作，是次要求場景更加夢幻，並且線條更簡單，而且需要一些道具來讓舞台更加豐富。

After completing the character remake, we began creating the environment. This time, we required a more dreamlike scene with simpler lines, and we also needed some props to enrich the stage.

上兩張圖都取自現實的舞台，十分乾淨的話，亦是可以有光滑平台的效果。
下兩張圖則是AI圖，我們想從中攝取那種乾淨線條的夢幻感。
The first two images are taken from a real stage; if it’s very clean, it can also create the effect of a smooth platform.
The next two images are AI-generated; we wanted to capture the dreamlike quality of clean lines from them.

同時為了增加非現實感和夢幻感，我們加入了大量巨型花朵，從而達到效果。

To enhance the sense of unreality and fantasy, we added a large number of giant flowers to achieve the desired effect.

花朵的Reference，有依附在牆上的，亦有在地上的，風格看起來很有外星生命的感覺。
The flower references, some attached to the wall and some on the ground, have a style that gives them an alien feel.

了解到要求後，我們開始著手處理建築物的部分，Bwing團隊希望我們製作出百老匯電影中心。

After understanding the environmental requirements, we began working on the building portion. The Bwing’s team wanted us to create the Broadway Cinematheque.

正式動畫製作

Formal animation production

完成所有前置作業後，終於邁入正式禮儀片的製作，我們會將預先製作每個動作的角色，全部放入電影中心的Blender檔案裡，並加以修繕，當中有一部份角色會直接在正式禮儀片裡製作動作，然後依照傳統會使用Nuke和AE進行後製優化。

After completing all the pre-production work, we finally move on to the production of the official choreography. We will put all the pre-made characters into the Blender files in the Cinema Center and make some of them more detailed. Some characters will have their movements made directly in the official choreography, and then, as is tradition, we will use Nuke and After Effects for post-production optimization.

George向外面望去，看起來傻氣十足，同時這個節點正是大家在Busking的時刻，因此這傢伙十分容易被忽略。
George looked out, looking rather silly, and since everyone was busking at that moment, he was easily overlooked.

在製作角色動作的同時，我們亦有製作電影中心。不過在正式的禮儀片裡，有很多場景都不會使用，會製作出來是為確保能增加立體感和還原像真度最高的電影中心。

While creating the character movements, we also created the Cinematheque. However, many scenes in the official ceremonial film will not use it; the Cinematheque is created to ensure the highest level of realism and enhances the sense of depth.

前期的電影中心，中心內的設施仍未製作，並且花朵明顯不夠多，舞台劇要素也不夠，而那個巨型檯燈的作用也不大，因此需要大改動。
The Cinematheque in its early stages was incomplete, with insufficient flowers, stage elements, and a giant lamp that served little purpose, thus requiring major renovations.

最後改動的電影中心，中心內的設施更健全，花朵也加入足夠的數量，同時大量改動為外星風格，
並且加入了紙造的樹，模擬舞台上的道具，巨型檯燈則是直接刪除，避免與主體搶眼球。
The final changes to the Cinematheque were: the facilities were improved, a sufficient number of flowers were added,
and the style was significantly altered to resemble alien life forms.
Paper trees were added to simulate stage props, while the giant lamp was removed to avoid overshadowing the main theme.

為了讓更多人知道禮儀片重新上線和Bwing IP重出江湖，我們為此製作了全新海報和貼圖，可讓大眾了解的同時，並讓喜歡這個IP的粉絲可以使用這些可愛的貼圖。

To let more people know that the etiquette video is back online and the Bwing IP is making a comeback, we have created brand new posters and stickers for this purpose. These stickers will allow the public to learn about the IP and also allow fans of the IP to use them.
