In terms of composition, we used the concept from the Dao De Jing: ‘Great sound is rarely heard, great form is formless.’ We intentionally did not show the full view of the statue to enhance the sense of enormity, conveying that ‘this Ashura statue is really huge, and you can only see a part of it at a time, never the whole picture.’ The opening with ‘stone and smoke’ also references techniques used in some music videos, effectively creating an atmosphere in a short period.
